DMX Support on ConnectedRoom Hub

I want a native integration for QLC+ to sync my DMX lighting with sports events. Currently, I have to use webhooks and middleware which is difficult to set up. This would make it much easier for users with DMX setups to sync their lights.

does this need to be done with a usb to dmx cable? or can this be done with the Enttec Open dmx usb connected to the Pi 5 running ConnectedRoom OS?

Enttec is basically a USB DMX interface, and it’s what I meant by USB to DMX.

Enttec Open DMX is a serialport interface and is supported on ConnectedRoom OS

I have mine plugged in but it tells me that there is no DMX adapter found. Any idea on what i can do to troubleshoot?

I have not tested on Raspberry Pi 5 yet, but first thing is to make sure it is running the latest version of ConnectedRoom OS

I can confirm that the Raspberry Pi 5 does not detect the USB-DMX cable

I will take a look today definitely should work.

It’s either the RPI5 issue in the software or the Adapter not being detected properly by the software since I never tested with the one you have.

As soon as I know which issue it is, will be easy to provide a fix.

There is also many more features coming for lighting that will all be possible with the ConnectedRoom Hub.

ConnectedRoom Hub will run locally on your network, making it possible to communicate with things that were never possible before, like QLC+.

This will allow for way more features to be developed for more intense and tight timing functions that I cannot unveil until further development is done.
